Amazing! We were crossing the creek ! Burr, it Was cold at times because the Large Dog couldn't keep my tail out of the water.

Once we crossed over, instead of setting me down, he mumbled something.

"Ali ust eet karing ou, otay?"

Within a very short time, we came to a cottage. Oh, it looked so warm!

The Large Dog went up to a door and pawed at it. Nothing. He scratched at it. Nothing. I kept thinking, "I'm so close and can not get in this cottage! It is not fair!"

Finally, the Large Dog gently sat me down and tossed back his head and let out a...

"Arooooooooah!"

Quick as a wink the door opened and there stood the most beautiful human I've ever seen. She had a bowl of milk in one hand!

"My goodness sakes, Pilot! What a noise?" the woman cried.

"Pilot?" I thought. I had never asked the Dog his name. I didn't Know dogs had names! Suddenly I thought "Do I have one?"

That thought was gone as suddenly as it came. Pilot looked down and the woman saw me. She leaned over and picked me up, "Good dog, Pilot! You've earned your supper tonight!"

Pilot turned and trotted off.

"Look children!" the woman cried out.

Up popped two children and as I looked...Kittens! So many Kittens! They were all over this room. Laughing happy babies.
