Here is my best chocolate cake recipe which I use for the holidays! It is simple, quick, uses one pot, one pan, one bowl. It will make a very large cake!! And the icing is wonderful! Chocolate Spice Cake
Combine margarine,
oil, chocolate, and water in a pan. Heat until chocolate is melted. Bake 20 to 25 minutes OR until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. I always seem to need to bake this cake for closer to 35 minutes, but that is just my oven. Keep checking as you do not want it to dry out. Do Not remove this cake from the pan unless it will all be eaten in one sitting! Kept in the pan, and covered with foil, it keeps very well for three days, otherwise, it will dry out fast. Chocolate Walnut Icing Easy, even if it does require a bit of cooking, it really tastes like fudge! I prefer walnuts, but you can use pecans..or no nuts if you wish.
Combine margarine,
chocolate and milk into a saucepan and heat until bubbles form
around the edge of pan. Ice cake while icing is still warm. I have found that if the icing cools too quickly, add a few drops of milk or warm water. If you try to heat it in the microwave (I tried once!) it will crystallize. It still Taste Great but isn't as pretty. I know it sounds not easy! But it truly is! Once you bake off one, it will become your favorite chocolate cake. And needless to say, if you are fat and calorie conscious, this Is Full of both. Like my mother says.."Eat it standing up, over the sink. Calories don't count then." Munch your way back to the Recipe Index Page or
