Nope...not like this now. Just skip this page...updated 3/1/15

Adding sound to your pages is fairly easy. You just want to make sure that it will work no matter what browser a person is using. If you following the steps below, your sound will work for everyone who visits your site.

First, you should choose a midi that you would like to have on your site. You will have to upload the midi file to your server for it to work. You do that the same way you put the pages on your server. Once you have done that, follow the steps below to get the midi to show up on your page.

Add the following code to your page below the <body> tag.

<embed src="cheeseburgerinparadise.mid" width="144" height="40" autostart="false"> </embed>

Now for the break down (Comments are in red):

<embed (Opens the tag.)

src="cheeseburgerinparadise.mid" (Is the name of the midi file that I chose. Midis have a .mid extension.)

width="144" height="40"> (Gives the dimensions of the console that people will see when they come to your site. I prefer to give them a way to turn the music off in case they don't want to hear it. These dimensions will give you a console that is 144 pixels wide and 40 pixels tall. That's a good size for a console. If you make it smaller, people won't be able to see the buttons on the console. If you make it bigger, it will take longer to load and make your page slower. The bracket at the end of the line closes the tag.)

autostart="false" (This keeps the midi from starting automatically. If you set it to true, the midi will play when it finishes loading. You can also leave it out, like I did below, and the midi will start playing automatically.)
<embed src="cheeseburgerinparadise.mid" width="144" height="40"> </embed>

</embed> (This is the closing tag. You need this so the browser knows that you are done with the midi and it can move on to the next thing on your page.)

When you are done, you should end up with something that looks like this:

You can also put the console in a table. That's what I like to do. To do that, follow the steps on the next page.
